Spade Racing Picks: Uncle Max vs. Mystery Picker—Talladega

Its nice to finally get in the win column for my “Next Favorite” picks—and to keep pitching a shutout against Mystery Picker.  But with Talladega this weekend, I think its time for my yearly advice on how to play roulette, since this kind of race makes about as much sense as throwing a metal ball around as slotted wheel.  So now, here’s my advice:
—Don’t play roulette.  Its a game of pure chance and there’s no way to “game” the system.  Throw away every system you heard of unless you’re playing cheap outside bets in order to get some free drinks.
Oh, and the fact that this advice comes after a trip to the casino is purely coincidental, as is my volunteering for extra overtime at work this week.

CUP SERIES Geico 500: Mystery Picker picks Ryan Blaney.  Favorite (3 wins): Clint Bowyer—since Mystery’s on a Blaney kick again, I’ll go with the guy who’ll have the best post-race celebration.  Next Favorite (1 win): Kurt Busch—if Ryan Newman pushes him to victory. they’ll finally “be even”.  Dark Horse: Ricky Stenhouse Jr.—would he hilarious if he manages to win a race with zero wrecks.

XFINITY SERIES (5 wins) MoneyLion 300: Ross Chastain—stakes his claim to the Ganassi 1 car for next year.
