2020 Panini Nascar Chronicles Cards Unboxing PACK 1 of 24

Panini comes out every year with a “super premium” series of Nascar cards, chock full of memorabilia pieces, autographs, and rookie cards.  This year its the Chronicles Series.  Join me as we unbox, unwrap, and unpack six “Blaster Boxes” worth of cards!

PACK 1—Deegan, Larson—wait, Larson?

FIRST THING’S FIRST: Well, lets get this out of the way—there’s as long lead-time on cards, so that means that Kyle Larson is still included (twice here) despite having been ostracized from the sport in the Spring.  Ignoring that, you can tell these cards are premium-quality—high-gloss, silver and gold embossing, and made up almost entirely of subsets.  Who needs base cards when you can have “Ascension”?

TO THE BACK: Oh, he was “primed” for more Cup Series checkered flags, but much like a water pump that’s been primed, Larson wound up blowing up the pump, then scattering the remains at sea.

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING: “If I have to hear David Gilliland tell me ONE MORE TIME about his Xfinity Series win I’m going to scream”.  Oh God, here he comes—better play it nice.

FINAL SCORE: 2 stage points out of 10.
