Oh who am I kidding—all other sports kneel at the feet of the mighty NFL. Nascar could have a 40 car photo finish and the lead story on SportsCenter would still be what Dak Prescott had for breakfast. Oh well—at least Nascar hasn’t kowtowed completely to the NFL—IndyCar, I’m looking in your direction.

CUP SERIES Bass Pro Shops Night Race (Saturday 7:30pm ET on USA) Points Leader picks DENNY HAMLIN. Favorite (3 wins): WILLIAM BYRON—it’s a “better safe than sorry” kind of win. Next Favorite (5 wins): ROSS CHASTAIN—not a “Hail Melon”, but maybe a last lap punt. Dark Horse (2 wins): RYAN PREECE—he has to win eventually, right?
