If you listen to some of the so-called sports experts out there, they’ll call this stretch between the Super Bowl and March Madness “the dead zone”, with no good sports to watch on tv. Well, to that I say BAH! BAH I say!
Who could look at a stretch of weeks with exciting Nascar action, the starts of the F1 and IndyCar seasons, and baseball’s spring training as “dead”? Who could look at a month or so with the NBA and NHL in full-swing as “dead”? Well, sports snobs who only watch football and post-season basketball, that’s who! And really, with most of us having greater access than ever to sports around the world, you really have to try to find a weekend with nothing “good” on to watch. Heck, I spend last Sunday watching Greek professional soccer—I couldn’t figure out what was going on, but it sure beats complaining!
