Spade Racing 2x4: Christopher Bell vs. Tyler Reddick, August Report

Spade Racing has watched the 2020 Cup Series Rookie Class winnow down from six full-time drivers to only two entering their fourth season at the sport’s highest level: Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick.  We’ll keep following them, but here’s how things look going into the Michigan race:

00 difference between Bell &
Reddick.  Also, 00 chances
Cole would have a ride if his
dad didn't run a team.

POINTS STANDINGS: Not much has changed here—Christopher Bell is still fourth in the points standings, while Tyler Reddick remains in twelfth.  You don’t need to do the math, but I will do it for you—that means that C.Bell is doing better than Reddick.  Advantage: BELL

BEST FINISH: It’s still one win a piece for these two.  Reddick came close to putting a second win on the board at Pocono, but I’m guessing everyone else has forgotten about that due to Hamlindramaitis.  Advantage: push

PERFORMANCE RELATIVE TO TEAMMATES: JGR has its two veteran drivers one-two in points, which rookie Ty Gibbs in 17th.  23XI has Reddick’s teammate Bubba Wallace in 15th, while Bubba Wallace’s facial hair is neck-and-neck.  I’ll have to give Advantage: REDDICK here, but it’s close.

FINAL SCORE: CHRISTOPHER BELL maintains his lead over Tyler Reddick, but it’s closer than ever now.  Here’s hoping that around Labor Day one of them will have established a solid lead—and my allergies will finally calm down.
