FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Boogertown, North Carolina)
Earlier last week 52 Pickup Racing opened up its social media channels to questions for T.B. Dee, driver of the Monday Cigarettes race car. Here’s three:
“Hey T.B., I’m still kinda new to NASCAR. I don’t mean to be rude, but why don’t you seem to ever finish in the top-twenty?” —David Reynolds, Tutor (Hagerstown, Maryland)
“No offense taken, David. You need a lot to compete at the highest level, and we’re just a brand new team. It takes years to get the best equipment, the strongest engines, the wealthiest sponsors, and the best drivers. Wait—scratch that last part.” —T.B.
“The season’s almost over—is there anything you wish you could’ve done differently?” —Hal Seugi, Ride Share Driver (Albany, Georgia)
“Well, I wish I’d booked a better hotel at Dover. And ordering a la carte at that diner outside Phoenix instead of getting a combo meal was a mistake. But other than that, no regrets!” —T.B.
“What are things looking like for 2022 at 52 Pickup Racing?” —Jeffrey Buford, Landscaper (Newark, New York)
“Things are always pretty fluid here in NASCAR, but nobody’s given me any reason to look anywhere else. So I hope that next year I’ll be starting off right where I was in 2021—in the #52 Monday Cigarettes race car, running a strong 32nd at Daytona.” —T.B.
QUOTES: “Consistency is key in NASCAR, and nobody reacts well to change.” —T.B. Dee, driver of the 52 Pickup Racing Monday Cigarettes race car.
“I agree with what T.B. said, although a change to running a bit better probably wouldn’t hurt anybody.” —Tom Richardson, co-owner of 52 Pickup Racing.
