Spade Racing Opens a Box of 2021 Panini Chronicles Nascar Cards, Pack 1 of 6

The sealed box

Join us (well, me) as we/I go through a box of super-exclusive 2021 Panini Chronicles Nascar Cards, pack-by-pack, week-by-week.

Pack 1—Larson’s sig, Berry’s big, and a card number fig

FIRST LOOK: Right off the bat we get a Kyle Larson autograph!  From the looks of things these cards were made shortly after the Daytona 500, as evidenced by Kyle’s Nations Guard firesuit.  Note that Nations Guard is a car dealer warrantee plan, not to be confused with Nations Bank, the National Guard, or Nationwide, all companies affiliated in some way with Rick Hendrick in the past (maybe next year he’ll pick up Right Guard or the Nation of Domination as a sponsor).

TO THE BACK: Thanks to the Tangential Earnhardt Connection Josh Berry gets a LOT of love in this card series.  And look, they even made him card number three!  I see what ya did there, Panini.

SAY WHAT: “Sure I’m card number 40, but weren’t there supposed to be eight cards per pack in this box?  Where’s the missing card, guys?”

RATING: 5 missing lug nuts out of 10 (would’ve been an 8 but 3 lugs were deducted for the missing card).
