Driver T.B. Dee Cleared of All Charges after Arrest

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Boogertown, North Carolina)

52 Pickup Racing is happy to welcome back driver T.B. Dee back into the fold, after a recent arrest situation was cleared up by local police.

“That was really a (heck) of a thing there”, Dee said upon returning to the team’s in-progress race shop in Boogertown, North Carolina.  “Thinking that I was going to be put behind bars for a crime I didn’t commit, thinking I’d have to spend the night in ‘The Slam’, it really makes you appreciate your freedom.”

“We’ve always had the utmost faith in our driver, but we informed NASCAR officials right away to follow the process completely”, said Pete Bigler, one of the fifty-two co-owners of 52 Pickup Racing.  “They seemed irritated by the whole thing, but before they hung up they made it seem like there’d be no penalties to deal with.  Which was nice.”

“T.B. Dee committed no crime, was never suspected in any crime, and was not wanted for questioning in any crime”, Boogertown Police officer Mark Scarsone said in a written statement.  “We merely knocked on the wrong door when we were trying to return his neighbor’s dog, who’d wandered down to our police station.”

“Those few seconds before they realized I was the wrong person, they’re moments I’ll never forget”, Dee said.  “Maybe I need to move to a better apartment complex.”

QUOTES: “Say, this place looks nice—community pool, laundry room—ah, utilities aren’t included.” —T.B. Dee, driver of the 52 Pickup Racing Monday Cigarettes race car.

“The next time something ‘isn’t a big deal’, NASCAR, you don’t need to have your secretary hang up on us so quickly.” —Pete Bigler, co-owner of 52 Pickup Racing.
